Seanna McGough, who previously served as chief learning officer at Wells Fargo, has joined Regions Bank as head of learning and development. McGough is currently based in Charlotte and working remotely due to the pandemic.
She succeeds Sue Hengel, who is retiring.
McGough, who has spent her 22-year career at Wells Fargo, previously led a team of more than 600 employees and was responsible for all functional learning programs. In addition to learning and development, her roles with the bank have involved recruitment and diversity, among other areas.
She has led a variety of innovative learning, development and talent acquisition programs at the enterprise level as well as in the areas of risk management, wealth and investment management and wholesale banking. Her experience also includes regulatory engagement, merger integration and diversity and inclusion program implementation.
McGough earned her master’s degree in business administration from Florida State University and her bachelor’s degree in science from Florida A&M University.
In her new role, which includes leadership, professional, skills and compliance training for all associates, McGough reports to Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer Dave Keenan.
Hengel is retiring at the end of January after 13 years with Regions, holding multiple positions in the human resources group. Regions has received six Exceptional Workplace Awards from Gallup under her leadership.
