Pethealth Inc. Gains Recognition for Having the Best Workplace Culture

At the 7th Annual Canadian HR Awards, Pethealth Inc., received the ultimate Software Award for Best Workplace Culture. To achieve this recognition, Pethealth was assessed on its approach and commitment to building workplace culture and evaluated on its values, traditions, beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes, among other criteria.

“We are honored to be regarded as having one of the Best Workplace Cultures in Canada,” says Nelia Rutledge, SVP, Human Resources at Pethealth. “At the highest levels of leadership, we prioritize culture, ensuring our people are central to everything we do. To grow our business, we believe cultivating the right environment for employees permeates throughout their interactions with our customers, our partners, and our communities.”

Organizational culture is fostered by all individuals nurturing, contributing, and, ultimately, buying-in. “It was so clear from the start that we have a caring team, passionate about what we do,” says Sean Smith, President, and CEO of Pethealth Inc. “Investing and building on that was the single most important thing we achieved in making Pethealth a successful organization for our team, our customers, their pets, our partners and our shareholders. We have so much more work to do and are excited to continue onward and upward.”

The Canadian HR Awards are the leading independent national celebration of excellence in the HR profession. They showcase outstanding HR teams, leaders, and employers for their achievements, innovation, and exceptional HR practices.

Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts and announced in a live virtual broadcast on September 16, 2020. Pethealth Inc. was also a finalist in two other award categories: The KPMG in Canada Award for HR Champion (CEO) and Canadian HR Team of the Year (under 500).
