Denton County Friends of the Family will host in-person and virtual training sessions on trauma-informed practices for leaders and human resource professionals Wednesday and Thursday.
In partnership with the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the in-person training will be held Thursday at the Denton Public Safety Training Center from 9 a.m. to noon.
It will include guest speaker Beth Neu, a human resources management expert. The training will focus on trauma-informed human resources as part of the vicarious trauma response initiative.
The virtual training will be held on Zoom at noon. This training will discuss strengthening partnerships and individuals through collaboration when experiencing vicarious trauma. It will feature speakers Pam Champlain and Janet Fine.
