Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) Allows Its Employees to Work From Home Permanently

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), has come up with a policy that allows its employees to work from home permanently if they so wish. For those who have grabbed the option, HCCB — the manufacturer of popular drinks, such as Thums Up, Sprite, and Coca-Cola — have already started delivering comfortable ergonomic chairs to their houses.

The employees in the sales team and those whose presence is indispensable across its 15 factories are not eligible for the policy.

In addition, HCCB, which is the largest bottling partner for Coca-Cola India, is offering financial assistance to employees to install power back-up systems. It is going to pay for the monthly Wi-fi expenses of employees too, which will ensure that the staff working remotely enjoys smooth internet connectivity.

Employees can also seek financial help to buy tables, headphones, microphones, lamps, webcams, or anything that will make their WFH routine comfortable.

The Company has rolled out a wellness-counseling app to help its employees through these difficult times. Not only has it made available telemedicine facilities to its staff, but it has also altered its health insurance policy, extending the cover for the parents and in-laws of employees, in addition to top-up covers for immediate dependents.

Considering that the pandemic has taken a toll on the minds and bodies of people, Coca Cola has also taken care to introduce training programs to help employees deal with productivity issues, reduce burnout/stress, and adapt to the new way of working. Its employees can opt for courses that have been made available via LinkedIn Learning and Harvard ManageMentor.
