Halton Region Receives the Top Employer Honor for a Record 12-year Period

Halton Region has been recognized as one of the top employers in the GTA.

The Region received the Greater Toronto’s Top Employer award for 2023 from Mediacorp. This is the 12th consecutive year that it has received the accolade.

“Providing a supportive workplace and a positive work environment for all our staff is always an important priority and we are very proud to receive the Greater Toronto’s Top Employer award once again,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr in a media release. “Our incredible staff continue to go above and beyond to deliver high-quality and critical programs, services and support to the community, and keep Halton Region a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.”

The competition reviews submissions from both the public and private sector, including national and multinational organizations.

When considering Halton for the award, Mediacorp reviewed Halton’s wellness programs, opportunities for recent graduates, support for new parents, professional development and training and recognition programs highlighting staff achievement.

Halton Region employs more than 3,300 professionals, serving residents in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.
